WASH THE BUGS OFF THE STRAWBERRIES!!!

Ok. I was reading a post on another site and I thought I would share this with you as was shared on that site. I don't think she would be offended if I shared this here.

I too love strawberries and I eat them all the time when I can find fresh ones. I didn't realize that I was not cleaning them properly as so many of us are not. They are so full of insects. I too wonder how many I have eaten in my lifetime. YUCK!!

Wow! Thanks! Guess this gives a new meaning to "... bugs on your teeth" Yuck! Do you think this applies to the frozen ones as well?

Cute one Shamashe, it sure does.
Hopefully they are washed properly before they are frozen or canned. I like to use the different canned pie fillings for toppings on certain deserts. YUCK if they are not cleaned properly!

The hubby and I went to the grecery store today, and he put a really good size basket thingy of strawberries in the cart. I took them out and put them right back where they came from. That article is stuck in my head tough right now. (lol)

That's a hard one to get over. Strawberries are tempting and everywhere now. lol
