| Water or Coke? I could not believe this...... Very interesting WATER
#1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half the world population#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger.
#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.
#4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
#5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue...
#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers. #7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
#8.. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day?
COKE #1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the 'real thing' sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china. #4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.. #5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion. #6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
#7.. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
#8... To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
#1 the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.
#2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean engines of the trucks for about 20 years. Now the question is, would you like a glass of water? or Coke?

| Hey Mohala, thanks for posting this, I've seen it before and remember thinking if Coke is so corrosive, how do you get Coke and a smile? :-)) Regardless, if you ever get to Altanta, go through the Coke museum. It's great!
As to water. I will be writing a water article in the future, but for now, remember that the ratio for water intake is drink HALF your BODY WEIGHT in OUNCES. If you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated!
Also, about popcorn. Yum! And a note or two. It's the outer shell and sloughed off bits from popping that get stuck and can perforate, so don't eat that! Corn gives most people gas because it becomes gluteneous in the system and is hard to break down, what doesn't break down builds up and is contracted out. Maybe the sugar coatings make it stick more :-)) Magnesium relaxes the muscles. So if you eat a lot of popcorn...

| Hi Scarlet No the article did not say if any of the tastier popcorns was ok or not. But if you click on the different colored words in the post above it will take you to more info on this subject. I thought this was interesting also, I always thought that popcorn had no health benefits at all even though it is popped corn. (Get it)
I just like to eat it because it tastes good. (lol) I like the carmel and cheese flavors too.

| Ooohh that is interesting. I had no idea that popcorn had health benefits. Did the article mention whether to eat regular popcorn or would butter, caramel kinds be ok as well? I tend to prefer butter popcorn. XD | |

| Fortify Your GI Tract with This Midnight MunchieIt's long been a favorite of midnight moviegoers, and research now shows that it could give your gastrointestinal (GI) tract the red-carpet treatment, too. It's popcorn. An 18-year study suggests that eating a couple of servings of the stuff each week could do nice things for your colon, like reduce the risk of diverticulitis by 28 percent. Popcorn Not a Problem? For years, doctors have warned patients with diverticulitis to avoid popcorn, thinking that the undigestible bits could cause serious complications. This new study has many wondering if that thinking could be a little off track. But don’t make any changes to your diet without talking to your doctor first. For people who do not have diverticular disease, a couple of servings of popcorn a week could be just the ticket to avoiding the painful condition down the road. Nuts also seemed to lower diverticulitis risk in the study. (Have unexplained GI problems? Find out what might be causing them with this quiz.)More Popcorn ProsSome of popcorn's good GI deeds may come from the inflammation-fighting lutein in the kernels, as well as the magnesium content. And eating popcorn is a great way to bump up your fiber and whole-grain intake -- two more things your GI tract loves. So go ahead, pop away!Find out how much popcorn you can munch for the calorie equivalent of seven or eight potato chips.
