I agree with you both. I am on disabiltiy and I have medicare. My scripsts are expensive and you do at times have to choose between which one you are going to purchase or if your like me I sometimes purchase them one week at time if I purchase them at all. Im not a senior yet but I feel real bad for those who are and are on a fixed income and no other income coming in. I don't know how they do it.

You'd think if you could hardly afford the doctor that they would have enough since to try to give you the cheapest prescription possible. Duh!

But, they don't.

My godmother is going through some similar stuff with hers. It's just a great big circle of crap.

I just talked to one of my friends on the phone. She is on medicare and her husband is unemployed. They went to the free clinic. The visit was free but , the prescription sure wasn't! It was over two hundred dollars! My parents are in their 80's and they have medicare and supplemental insurance but, they are still having to pay over four hundred dollars a month for medication. My mother-in-law has had to put off having a prescription filled because she couldn't afford it. I don't know the solution to this problem but, something needs to be done. Thank goodness i have great insurance. Thanks for giving me a place to vent! Now back to having fun! Laughter is the best medicine!
