Oh my, another Build-a-lot!!! Can't wait!!!!

We set up shop in the 16th century for our preview of Build-a-lot: The Elizabethan Era

Updated 1 hour, 4 minutes ago
Fans of the Build-a-Lot franchise have been taken to a lot of places over the years. Europe, wind farms – players have even spent some time on the Monopoly board. But in the next instalment, desktop real estate tycoons will be taken somewhere that Build-a-Lot has never gone before: back in time!
Build-a-Lot: The Elizabethan Era will take the popular property series to 16th century England when it debuts later this month. Stripped of modern conveniences, players will start their adventure with a single thatched house as they attempt to grow the shire.

A variety of era-appropriate set pieces and activities will complement the tried and true Build-a-Lot formula. Wells and windmills will dot the landscape as players manage crops and livestock, hire workers and farmers, and manage services to keep their town healthy and prosperous. Players will also build a variety of amusements for their people which will improve their happiness.
The game is also set to feature a variety of in-game awards, multiple campaigns, and text presented in ye olde English. In addition to the standard release, there will be a premium edition that will feature a 10 level expansion known as the Wales Campaign. A new building will be exclusive to this campaign, truly setting it apart from what’s offered in the standard edition.

We have an early appoint with House M.D.

Updated May 6, 2010, 9:42am
Last fall we brought you a great deal of information on the upcoming game House M.D. from the mouth of its producer James Cooperson. As we creep closer and closer to its release date, Gamezebo has made a new appoint with the doctor. His prescription? Screenshots, videos, and details

Based on the popular TV show of the same name, House M.D. will be offer up a medical drama that Legacy promises will feature all of the wit and humor that have made the series such a success. The game will place players in the shoes of the titular character as they race to unravel 5 different medical mysteries. In his developer diary, Cooperson referred to these as “episodes,” further demonstrating his love for the TV show. The game also divides them up with way, letting you revisit individual episodes at any time once you’ve completed them.

Solving these medical mysteries will require hands-on gameplay. Players will examine patients to identify symptoms and complete a variety of mini-games while making their diagnosis. Players will complete lab tests, perform surgeries and more

We explore the hidden city of Tearstone
Updated May 3, 2010, 10:23am
The first game from developer DragonsEye Studio, Tearstone is an upcoming hidden object adventure that takes place in a world not unlike our own. When the game’s hero receives a mysterious letter from a professor, he sets out on a quest that will change his life forever.

His adventure takes him into a fortress that reveals a whole new world that desperately needs his help. Arriving in Tearstone, the capital of this new world, he discovers an old prophecy that speaks of salvation coming from a person belonging to the world above. Our hero quickly realizes that he is the one the prophecy speaks of, and his real adventure – his destiny – begins.
The game promises to feature unusual locations, strange characters, riddle quests, and challenging mini-games in addition to its hidden object gameplay. While no specific numbers have been given regarding the game’s length, the developers are promising “hours of premium entertainment.”

From what we’ve seen of its visuals, Tearstone is offers up some of the prettiest, most detailed environments we’ve ever seen in a HOG. Scenes have a hand-painted feel to them, and even feature enlarged elements in the foreground to give the images a sense of depth.
No specific release date has been announced yet, but the developers are suggesting that the game will be available soon. Want to know when Tearstone will be available for download? Be sure to set a Gamezebo game alert to be notified the moment the game is released!

Previous time management games from Youda Games have let players try their hand at camping, farming, running a marina, and being a sushi chef, which is a pretty well-rounded set of skills! You'll be able to add Safari Theme Park Manager to your list of titles when Youda's latest time management game, Youda Safari, launches in the next couple of weeks. Your job will be to make sure wildlife enthusiasts and park tourists enjoy a safe and fun holiday by guiding them safely through the park and providing them with the best photo opportunities.

According to Youda Games, Youda Safari comes with typical time management game trimmings like park upgrades (new vehicles, bigger tourist facilities, restaurants and other services), along with various cartoon animals and a variety of different safari parks aross several continents from North America to Africa.

Shiver me timbers! Australian developer Brawsome is currently readying Jolly Rover, its first commercial game, for release. This high seas point-and-click experience will follow the adventures of Gaius James Rover, a dog who just wants to star in the circus like his dear old dad.
Rover is sent to live with his uncle in the Caribbean after his father, a famous clown, dies from an incident involving an improperly loaded joke cannon. There Rover accidentally invents "Jolly Rover" a potent mix of tobacco and rum that is taking the islands by storm. Using the proceeds from his popular concoction, Rover charters a ship and sets sail to Groggy Island to start his new life in the circus.

While Jolly Rover may be Brawsome’s first commercial product, the team has built up an impressive pedigree. Andrew Goulding, Jolly Rover’s game’s designer, producer and programmer, has previously worked on the popular casual adventures Avenue Flo and Emerald City Confidential.
With more than 60 scenes to explore, Goulding suggests that the Jolly Rover should offer 4-8 hours of gameplay on your first play through. The game will also offer 25 voiced characters, who will be recording their talents in-studio sometime this May.
The game embraces classic 2D adventure mechanics, but also offers a number of tweaks that will ensure players never get too frustrated or confused. “It follows the LucasArts view of adventure games that players should never get stuck if they forgot to pick up something, and there are dialog trees and inventory items,” says Goulding. The game will also employ a simple one-click interface, as well as a hint system that will allow players to skip the few action sequences in the game should they prove too difficult.

The high seas adventure setting of Jolly Rover clearly pay tribute to the Monkey Island series, however Goulding assures us that the game’s conception predates the recent return of LucasArts beloved classic. He also assures us that, like the games that inspired it, Jolly Rover will offer a family-friendly sense of humor. “While there is some adult innuendo scattered throughout the game, it's no more than your average Pixar movie or episode of The Simpsons.”
While no specific date has been confirmed, Jolly Rover’s developer is currently targeting a release in early June. Brawsome also intends to release the game on a variety of digital platforms, including Steam and Big Fish Games.

Have you ever wondered what happened to Amelia Earhart, the daredevil aviator who vanished over the Pacific Ocean in 1937? You'll get to explore some of the facts and theories behind her disappearance in an upcoming hidden object game called Unsolved Mystery Club: Amelia Earhart.

Developed by Freeze Tag (Mystery Masterpiece: The Moonstone, Etch-A-Sketch), the game will apparently combine hidden objects with puzzles and mini-games. You'll travel deep into the archives of the Unsolved Mystery Club warehouse to reveal lost archives of rare film, audio clips and photographs of Earhart. These artifacts will help you develop your own theory of what happened.

PostSubject: Pac-Man Pizza Parlor   Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:23 pm

Although Namco is traditionally known for its classic arcade and console videogames, the company has really been hitting its casual games stride lately with PC downloads like Mishap: An Accidental Haunting, The Otherside: Realm of Eons and Everything Nice. Now those two worlds are about to collide with the upcoming time management game PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor.
The premise sounds fairly typical of time management games. The main character, Cathy, is a young woman struggling to run the family pizza parlor after her father loses his memory. Fortunately for Cathy, PAC-MAN is on the job to lend a helping hand! (Why is PAC-MAN hanging around a pizza joint? Who knows. Just run with it - we did.)

Players get to help PAC-MAN and Cathy serve hungry customers by guiding PAC-MAN around a conveyor belt to collect ingredients for Cathy to use to create each customer's order. According to the details Namco has already released, the game will span 80 stages with dozens of unlockables and equipment upgrades, and will also feature an Expert mode for those looking for a little extra challenge.
PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor will be launching very soon, so be sure to check back to Gamezebo and we'll let you know the instant that the game comes out.

Looks to be fun and interesting. Because I like the Pac-Man games I probably will get this one also. I'll see how it feels when playing on on the compter verses a game console.
